Building a warmer audience helped lower lead costs over time
An established financial education business was preparing for an upcoming book launch. The advertising strategy needed to generate registrations while also building visibility and familiarity with new audiences.
The strategy extended beyond registration ads.
Over four months, I ran an ongoing content campaign alongside monthly masterclass registration campaigns. This gave people repeated opportunities to encounter the client’s ideas before being asked to register.
The warm-audience lead cost fell by 63.9%
The cost per lead from the warm audience decreased from $7.46 to $2.69. The final masterclass campaign also generated 417 registrations at an average cost of $8.22, while the supporting visibility campaign delivered more than 590,000 impressions.

The ads were attracting attention. The landing page was losing registrations.
The campaign was generating strong click-through rates, but very few visitors were registering. The audience was interested enough to click, which suggested that the problem was occurring after they reached the landing page.
The campaign data pointed to the funnel.
I identified two likely barriers: the messaging created curiosity without clearly explaining the offer, and the mobile landing-page experience made it difficult for visitors to take the next step.
The landing-page conversion rate increased to 44.1%.
After the messaging was clarified and the mobile experience was improved, the conversion rate increased from approximately 5–6% to 44.1%. The estimated registration cost fell from approximately £60–£68 to £10.36.

Link CTR greatly improved after simply adding movement to an existing static visual.
Only $65 was spent on a traffic campaign promoting the available dates before the rental unit was completely booked out.
Some results created immediate revenue. Others built the audience, insight, and infrastructure that supported future growth.
Early sales revealed that one product category consistently outperformed the others. Concentrating more of the strategy around that demand helped produce several months above a 3X ROAS.
A new audience based on homeschooling interests generated 239 Meta-reported purchases at $0.20 each and a 9.18X ROAS during one reporting period.
With a fixed monthly budget and frequent short promotions, I reallocated spend without abandoning the evergreen campaigns that were building the warm audience those promotions depended on.
Tracking problems, unclear messaging, and funnel gaps need attention before more money is added. Identifying these issues has helped clients avoid scaling campaigns that were not ready.
